I have worked as a Full Time Professional Wedding Photographer for over 23 years. In that time I have photographed over 2000 Weddings including weddings throughout the UK and Holland working with different cultures, and exploring different traditions. Today I work mainly throughout Central Scotland, covering all the most popular Wedding Venues, as well as some unique places that are not as well known.
Working for so long in the wedding industry, Ive witnessed and practised many different styles of photography. From basic Reportage using only natural light, through Dutch Angle which was popular in the naughties, to more technical dynamic off camera flash set-ups using multiple groups, I enjoying being flexible in a range of styles, and work with each client to produce images in the style they prefer. With the Advent of A.I. I am even more aware to keep photoshop to an absolute minimum and get each image perfect in the camera, leaving only minor adjustments done in post processing. I believe photography should be done in the camera and not on the computer. Below you can view my latest Wedding Photography Packages. The Half Day Natural Package starts with me working in a Reportage Style capturing your guests arriving one hour before your ceremony time. During this time my goal is to photograph your guests in a Natural style as the groom and groomsmen meet friends and family arriving at the venue. My aim is to not get in the way and capture images that reflect the personality and each emotion that the Groom is feeling. This approach really tells the emotional story of the build up to the ceremony. The idea being when you look back through your images you feel the same butterflies, nerves and excitement.
Throughout the ceremony I would work in the same style, blending in working to re-animate your wedding day through each image. After the Ceremony I can photograph different groups of friends and family. Writing a list of these different shots means you can get exactly the ones you would like. After the groups photos I would work in a natural way with just the bride and groom. Nothing is too posed or awkward, just nice natural shots that feel real and reflect your own personality. Next come the speeches, always a great time for me to get more reportage images as your guests react to all the laughter, jokes, and emotion of all the speakers. All your images would be individually colour corrected and touched up using minimal photoshop giving a fresh bright and natural look. I also use Off Camera Flash (OCF) lighting techniques to produce a unique look to really make some showcase images. All your images are supplied at the Full Resolution with the Full copyright. The Full Day Natural Package covers everything in the Half Day Natural, but also includes preparation photography at any location of your choice (within 30 minutes drive) starting three hours before your ceremony time. During this time I would work in a reportage style capturing all the nerves and excitement in the build up to the ceremony. It's also possible to set up a First Look with the person that giving you away. Always emotional, forever memorable, telling your wedding story as it unfolds. After your preparation I would head off to the venue and cover everything thats included in the Half Day Natural. The Full Day Natural extends into the evening reception after your speeches capturing evening guests arriving. At this point everyone is more relaxed with all the formalities almost over, so the images take on a different feel. Anxiety and stress are replaced with a different vibe, as I continue to work through the first couple of formal dances, capturing the start of your reception as the party truly begins. As with the Half Day Natural, all your images are individually colour corrected and touched up to keep them looking Natural, and are supplied at the Full Resolution with the Full Copyright. Advanced Off Camera Flash (OFC) lighting can also be used to give a unique look and feel to your images. . (No prints or album are included with this package.)
